ROYAL Troon Golf Club: This course will host the 2024 Open Championship!
This great course is ranked by "Golf Digest" as 32nd in the "Top 100 golf courses in the World". This golf course has hosted 10 Open championship and will host it again this year three months after we play it. Having the famous par 3 hole "The Postage Stamp", this course will be a great test for our Royal Scotland Golf Classic . St Andrews Old Course: This course is well know as the "Home" of Golf.
For this great trip, we have built 5 days into our itinerary to get everyone on this great golf course through the Old course Daily Ballot and we will know if your foursome receives a tee time at least 48 hours before play.
The month of April is also not only the driest month at St Andrews but also the easiest month to get on the Old Course by the Daily Ballot.
* We estimate that with only 4 tee times that we need to get all our 16 golfers on the Old Course and that there are normally 15 - 20 tee times available by ballot daily, and we have 5 days to do this, we stand a great chance getting everyone on by this process.
However, we also have a backup plan just in case we get down to the last few days of the ballot and have a foursome to get on. We can use this backup method to also get you on the Old Course during our trip.
Of course on the days that you don't get on the Old Course we have optional golf planned at other great golf courses in the area. We are also staying at the 5 star Fairmont St Andrews and they have two great courses.
With our trip package, you will be able to play free on one of those golf courses located outside of your hotel.
** The green fees for the Old course or optional golf are not included in our package.
