Coeur d' Alene Golf Classic
Dates: July 15 - July 20, 2012
GOLF COURSES (in order of play)
Indian Canyon Golf Course: Indian Canyon was designed in 1930 by H. Chandler Egan and opened for play in 1935. It is rated 4 stars by Golf Digest and #11 in Washington state by Golf Magazine. The course sits atop the west entrance to Spokane, overlooking the city. As the host to many major tournaments, it has hosted the USGA three times, the United States Amateur Public Links Championship in 1941 and 1984, and the United States Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship in 1989. Indian Canyon now hosts the Rosauers Open, the largest PGA section event in the United States. Built on a canyon wall with a vertical drop of 240 feet amid many towering pines, it offers a diverse and unique playing environment. The course is well bunkered and has undulated greens and plays at 6,255 yards from the back tees.
Circling Raven Golf Course: Circling Raven has consistently been rated as one of the top Resort courses in the country. Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, and Golf World have rated it in their Top 100 courses you can play in the US. It is also rated as the second best public course in Idaho, right after Coeur d' Alene.
Coeur d' Alene Resort Golf Course: This 5 star golf course, is rated number 1 in the state by Golf Magazine. It is also ranked in the Top 100 Golf Courses You Can Play by Golf Digest. It is also home of the only floating green in the world. To get to this course from the resort you will take a water taxi, and practice at an over water driving range with floating golf balls. You may want to enjoy a free sports massage at the driving range before starting your round, and a forecaddie will take care of each foursome (forecaddie gratuities are not included in the package). We will get to play this famous course twice during the tournament (last two days).
